Book summary:
The year 2069 is coming to a close, and eighteen-year-old Bianca Butterman's time-craft license is finally official. She's ready for the Induction Day she's waited for since she was a kid-the one that will secure her name on the Butterman family tree of time travelers. But ever since the media discovered Bianca is pop superstar Tristan Helms' latest new honey, everything Bianca does or says becomes a target of criticism. Having her professional credibility topping the gossip sites across social media is an open invitation for the government to step in and regulate Bianca's Induction. Now she will have to ask herself if saving 1500 people from drowning is worth losing everything she's ever worked for, including the Butterman family biz.           That awkward moment when my review is bound to be shorter than the blurb itself. Sorry but I believe if I told you anything more about the story I'd spoil things majorly, so I'll leave it at the blurb and tell you something more about my feelings for the Induction Day.

Firstly you should know that this book is a sequel to Butterman (Time) Travel, Inc., a book that took me by surprise last year and which made me wait desperately for the sequel. Not because it ended with the cliffy but simply I wanted to see where Bianca will travel to next. It took me some time to fully grasp her idea. Yes she did have best thoughts when it comes to that and I would be tempted to do the same if I had a chance, but still it's also completely logical that if things completely changed the history would as well. But luckily for me, once again same as with the travel back to Woodstock the author managed to create a feeling like things have changed without actually doing some major changes.

Another thing that nicely developed in this book was the romance, which started to grow and while nice and really emotional, still with me wanting to jump into this story and slap Tristan once or twice. Bianca gave him more chances than I ever would.

This book while mostly dealing with old elements at the end gave us something new to think about, a new possibility that changed the whole idea and this whole world. Somehow I feel like there is space to do more about it, but still we leave things like this I'd be happy with it. So, maybe one day.

Rating: 4 stars.

  1. I'm sad I wasn't able to fit this one in because I loved book one. Glad this was just as good.

  2. I loved the first book too, it was such a surprise, but I completely forgot about the sequel! I'm pretty excited about it even though I'll probably be severely annoyed by Tristan's actions and want to smack him.
    Thanks for reminding me!

  3. Oooh, seeing as Kindlemom and Maja loved the first book, looks like I need to read it, too! I can't wait to try it out especially with the sequel out :) Time Travel is almost always fun!

  4. I've definitely run across a few books that have had blurbs longer than my review as well Tanja. I just have to laugh when that happens:) Glad the romance is well done (even if Tristan is frustrating at times), that's always a key element for me! Lovely review:)

  5. This is the first time I've heard of this series and it sounds like I really need to. I love the sound of the adventures the MC goes and the romance sounds very sweet although I can tell the love interest will drive me crazy.
    Lovely review, Tanja!

  6. I'm a huge fan of time travel and so even though this one completely escaped my radar i'm really making a point to find the first book and read it ASAP! lol! Lovely review Tanja :)

  7. I definitely wanted to slap Tristan sometimes too but I enjoyed this book a lot. Thank you so much for hosting a tour stop!

  8. I did not even know this series existed until this year. I read book one and two back to back. Now I want book three!!

  9. I remember wanting to read the first book. So glad the sequel lived up to expectations and yeah for a well done romance.

  10. I've been wanting to read book one ever since I saw great reviews of it when it came out, and now I'm even more excited to start the series now that I know you enjoyed the sequel! Great review!

  11. It's nice when you're excited for a book and it meets your expectations. I don't remember seeing this series around, but I do like hearing the romance was well done. Time travel always makes my head hurt. Changing one event in history could have never ending ripple effects.

  12. I always enjoy a book about time travel, as long as it is done well! It sounds like this series does a good job of though, so it will be one for me to look into ^^
